Our aims and vision
Dyscalculia is a developmental disability, characterised by persistent difficulties in mathematics, despite adequate intellectual capacity and age-appropriate school education. Maths difficulties and dyscalculia can have a lasting negative effect on academic outcomes, as well as on career opportunities, health prospects, and quality of life.
By offering Numeralis, an evidence-based, affordable and easy-to-use screening tool for dyscalculia, we hope to raise awareness of dyscalculia, increase diagnosis rates, and provide useful information for developing targeted support.
By providing an assessment tool that is appropriate across different age groups and levels of education, we also make it possible to track the development of a range of key mathematics skills and mathematics-related cognitive abilities, and assess the effectiveness of interventions.
